Junior AI / Laravel Developer

The Role

We’re a ~25-person company in Aachen that trades pre-owned printing and packaging machinery globally. That’s the business. What makes us different is how we’re building it: with a small, ambitious tech team that’s shipping AI agents, automated research pipelines, and LLM-powered tools — all on proprietary data that no one else in the industry has. Our team builds with AI, not just builds AI: Claude Code is our primary development environment, and we expect you to be fully immersed in working with coding agents to move fast and ship production code.

We’re looking for a CS graduate who wants to start building real things immediately. No rotational program, no months of onboarding presentations. You’ll ship code in your first week, working directly with our Tech Lead on projects that go into production. If you’re already building your own projects with Claude Code or similar AI coding agents, you’ll feel right at home.

The deal is simple: 6 months, real work, real responsibility. If it’s a mutual fit, you stay full-time.

What You’ll Work On

Our current roadmap includes projects like:

Multi-agent systems that autonomously research, enrich, and structure large-scale industry data
LLM-powered agents that automate classification, routing, and processing of unstructured business data
Embedding pipelines and vector-database knowledge graphs built on proprietary business data
Internal tools and dashboards on our proprietary CRM/ERP platform (Laravel/MySQL)
Automated data pipelines that connect external sources, APIs, and AI models into production workflows

You won’t be assigned to one project and left alone. You’ll rotate across whatever needs building, pair with the Tech Lead, and take ownership of features end-to-end — with Claude Code as your primary development tool.

What We’re Looking For

Recently completed (or about to complete) a CS degree — Bachelor or Master
You can write clean, working code in PHP/Laravel
You’ve built something outside of coursework — side project, hackathon, open source, anything
Genuine curiosity about LLMs, embeddings, and agents — ideally you’re already using Claude Code or similar AI coding tools to build your own projects
Comfortable with Git, the command line, and figuring things out from documentation
You learn fast and don’t wait for permission to try things
Fluent in English; German is a plus but not required

Hiring Process

2. General intro call (30 min) — with our recruiter to discuss mutual fit and answer your questions
3. Tech intro call (30 min) — with our tech dept. to discuss your technical background and stack experience
4. On-site live coding challenge (90 min) — no whiteboard algorithms — a live coding session to see how you build and how you think
